CONTINUING EDUCATION FUND FOR PASTORS INDIANA YEARLY MEETING
GUIDELINES:
| 1. | Up to $100 is available each pastoral year for each church for the pastor/pastoral staff to use for continuing education. |
| 2. | The $100 is per church not per pastor. It can be divided up however you choose if you have more than one pastor. |
| 3. | The CEF will pay only half of the total cost of the conference (if the conference cost is $100 you could only have $50 for that conference and use $50 later). Hopefully the local church will pay the other half. |
| 4. | The CEF cannot be used to pay tuition at a college or seminary. (Scholarship loan funds are available.) |
| 5. | The CEF will help purchase books for the pastor’s study groups. |
| 6. | Additional forms to request CEF can be obtained by calling the Yearly Meeting Office. Return them to the office for approval and they will be sent to the treasurer for payment. |
| 7. | The purpose and goals of the organization sponsoring the event or program must be in harmony with the Faith and Practice of Indiana Yearly Meeting. |
| 8. | The applicant should consider particular ways in which participation will strength his/her ministry either through improving one’s skills for ministry or through deepening personal spiritual and intellectual resources. |
| 9. | Where the goals are skills oriented,
one or more of the following should be included: a. preaching, leading worship b. pastoral care, counseling c. pastoral calling, visitation, evangelism d. administration, public relations |
| 10. | Persons wishing assistance should provide the information requested below. Please be specific with regard to the way the check should be made out. |
