Associated Committee of Friends
on Indian Affairs

On behalf of the Associated Committee of Friends on Indian Affairs (ACFIA), I am happy to report that God continues to lead our organization in faithful ministry to Native Americans. We have received reports of active, ongoing ministries that our centers are providing which is helping the spiritual and physical needs of Native Americans throughout the country this past year.

Kickapoo Friends Center, Oklahoma, reports an active and growing youth ministry. Many of the young attendees are making a substantial impact on the local high school and community by their testimony of faith. The center's ministry continues to touch many lives. Please pray that God will raise the funds to provide additional facilities as the center begins to envision the expansion of their ministry.

The MOWA Choctaw Friends Center, Alabama, continues to provide quality, Christian education to Native Americans and other residents in the impoverished area of McIntosh, Alabama. Next school year will bring significant changes in staff, facilities, and the grade levels they will offer. Pray they will be successful in making these changes.

Mesquakie Friends Center, Iowa, reports that their successful children's ministry continues to grow at the center. They also have a new shelter house/all-weather building as a result of work by Iowa Quaker Men. Pray that God will call additional individuals to help with this growing ministry.

The Hominy, Council House, and Wyandotte Meetings, Oklahoma, all report increases in attendees and active ministries reaching out to Native Americans and area residents. Pray for each meeting, as they work to increase attendance and member involvement in ministry.

ACFIA has a proud history of over 130 years of successful ministry among Native Americans. It has brought Friends together, from throughout the country and from diverse yearly meetings and theological persuasions, to hold out the light of Christ through witness, service, and love. We ask that you consider being a part of this ministry by visiting our missionaries, supporting them with your prayers and financial support, and working on one of the committees of ACFIA. Your help and interest will ensure that this important work will continue on in the future.

In His Light,
Victor G. Angulo, Executive Secretary
