Superintendent: Doug Shoemaker
Doug
began serving as IYM General Superintendent in February of 2005. He
is a native of IYM where he was recorded in 1980. He pastored
two churches in Western Yearly Meeting from 1978 to 2005. He and
his wife, Kris, are the parents of three children, Kyle, Adam and
Kelsie.
Assistant Superintendent:
Aaron Hughs
Aaron began serving as IYM Assistant Superintendent in August of
2003. He is a 2002 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University where he
received a degree in Recreation Management. When not living at
Quaker Haven Camp during the summers or Muncie, IN in the winters,
you can find Aaron cheering and crying over Kansas University Jayhawk
basketball and Kansas City Royals baseball, in that order.
Aaron is married to Abbey and other family members consists of his father Herb, mother
Maxine and younger brother Josh, all of whom reside in LaFontaine,
IN.
Office Secretary: Rowena Holliday
Rowena
has worked for IYM since November of 1996. She is the wife of
Friends pastor, Jack Holliday, currently serving at Anderson First Friends
and formerly serving at Farmland and Carthage Friends. They have two grown
children and five grandchildren. Rowena worked for Barclay College
(Kansas) in Public Affairs for 15 years, tuned pianos for 39 years,
and taught piano and beginning oil painting for several years. She
currently enjoys playing piano for the Melody Masters, a band
playing for “Hymn Sings” throughout central Indiana.
Office Assistant:
Connie Akers Connie
resides in Parker City, IN with her husband J.D. Their family
consists of two adult children and their spouses and 4 wonderful
grandchildren. Before coming to IYM, Connie served as the
Children's Pastor at Farmland Friends Church. She was also employed
as the Corporation Treasurer for Monroe Central School Corporation for
several years. She absolutely enjoys working with children and
spending spare time with her family. |
